Adding data to your table
Excel automatically assumes you are adding a new row if you type data in the row beneath the table.
How to: Insert new data to the end of a table
Click in the first column in the first row below the table.
Enter the required data.
As soon as you press or a new row is inserted and the
table border moves down.
Hints & tips
You can add a new row or column to your table above or to the left of the current cell. Display the Home ribbon and click on the top-half of the Insert button (Cells group).
You can resize a table. Position your mouse pointer over the resize handle in the bottom right corner of the table. The mouse pointer becomes a double-headed arrow. Drag the handle to the new size. This can add new rows or new columns (with a default heading). If you make the table smaller, data is excluded from the table (although still shown on the sheet).
